El IES Fernando Savater de Jerez de la Frontera, es un centro público con un nivel socioeconómico de su alumnado medio-alto,situado en la provincia de Cádiz, cerca de la costa(10 km.) y con muy buenas conexiones, tanto aéreas(aeropuerto cercano) como terrestres (tren y autobuses).
Dentro de nuestro proyecto de centro, le damos una gran importancia al aprendizaje integrado de las lenguas, trabajándose en todos los niveles de enseñanza que imparte el centro: Secundaria y Bachillerato.Apostando como valor diferenciador por el aprendizaje de lenguas extranjera en contexto; Inglés / Francés.
En este sentido, buscamos centros que estén interesados en realizar intercambios entre su alumnado y el nuestro, para intercambiar experiencias educativas. El alumnado preferente sería de 4º ESO (15-16 años) y 1º Bachillerato(16-17 años), estaríamos abiertos a otras posibilidades.

Our School is located in Jerez de la Frontera, which, although it is not the capital it is the biggest city in Cádiz province with two hundred thousand inhabitants. It is an hour drive from Seville and half an hour drive from Cádiz. It is also very near the coast as it takes fifteen minutes to get to the closest beach. Jerez enjoys good communications (International Airport, train station, coaches to the main cities of the country, etc.). Jerez is also a city with a lively atmosphere and great events throughout the year.
IES Fernando Savater, our school, is located in a residential area not far from the city centre (about twenty minutes walk). We teach about 800 students aged between 12 and 18 (Secondary and upper-Secondary levels). We have been running the bilingual programme on Spanish and English since 2005 with very rewarding results. Apart from English itself, there are five other subjects included in the bilingual project (Social Sciences, Maths, Music, P. E., and Philosophy).
Our students are highly motivated, well behaved, and willing to learn. They are even given the chance to obtain the Trinity Certificates of B-1 (at the age of 16) and B-2 (at the age of 17) of English, since our school has become an official Trinity Examination Centre.
Notre lycée d'état, l'I.E.S. Fernando Savater, se trouve à Jerez de la Frontera, dans le sud de l'Espagne, en Andalousie. Jerez, mondialement connue pour ses vins et le Grand Prix de Moto, est une ville agréable et très vivante de plus de 200 000 habitants. Située à 15 minutes des plages et à une heure de Séville, notre ville compte un aéroport international et dispose de très bonnes connexions routières et ferroviaires.
Notre école est située dans un quartier résidentiel, à 20 minutes à pied du centre-ville. Nos élèves sont de classe moyenne, en général motivés par leurs études et bien élevés. Nous avons environ 800 élèves de 12 à 18 ans. L'apprentissage des langues étrangères est un des points forts du lycée. Nos élèves étudient l'anglais comme LV1 et le français comme LV2. Nous sommes un lycée bilingue, ils ont donc en moyenne 10 heures d' anglais par semaine (langue anglaise, histoire-géographie, musique et EPS). La majorité passe les examens du B1 et B2 du Trinity College dans notre lycée puisque nous sommes centre officiel d'examen.
Nous cherchons un lycée intéressé pour réaliser des échanges avec nos élèves. A priori nous proposons de mener à bien ces échanges scolaires avec les élèves de Seconde ou de Première, mais nous restons ouvert à des projets avec des élèves d'autres tranches d'âges.
